Corazón Works is an innovative approach to youth employment that addresses the unique barriers young people face, including their physical, emotional, social, and mental health needs. The program supports youth in securing and maintaining long-term, career-focused employment, ultimately empowering them to achieve success and self-sufficiency. To complete this mission, Corazón has developed partnerships in the community that aid in the growth of the youth with employment in these worksites through this program. Our partnerships include the Berwyn Auto Spa, the Pile Bookstore, Cortina Heating & Cooling, the Children’s Center, Cicero Family Services, Cicero Family Focus, Perfect Dental Smile, Cicero Medical Center, and Ebenezer Community Foundation. Additionally, youth participate in various training, classes, and workshops such as financial literacy, digital literacy, trauma-informed care, mental health, resume building and much more. Our program's mission is not only to provide guidance and growth in employment readiness, but also to prepare leaders to support development of a more united, just, and compassionate community in which they serve.
