DIGITAL LITERACY

Corazón Community Services offers a comprehensive suite of Digital Literacy Programs tailored to the needs of the Latinx community in Cicero and surrounding Chicago neighborhoods.These free programs, conducted in Spanish with bilingual support, aim to empower participants of all ages with essential digital skills for personal, educational, and professional growth. The Adult Digital Literacy Program supports Spanish-speaking immigrants with limited tech experience, offering beginner to intermediate instruction in computer use, internet navigation, email, online safety, job searching, financial tools, and access to community resources. Digital Literacy Classes with Youth Ambassadors focus on Latinx young adults (ages 18–24), providing hands-on training in workplace software, resume building, online professionalism, and career readiness through workshops, guest speakers, and one-on-one support. Technolochicas introduces Latinx youth (ages 11–17) to coding and STEM fields through interactive projects in Scratch, Python, robotics, and game/web development, encouraging creative problem-solving and mentorship. Lastly, the 1:1 Digital Skills & Career Coaching Program offers flexible, personalized support for individuals of all ages looking to build digital skills or pursue career advancement, with coaching in resume writing, job applications, and digital tools. All programs are held in Corazon’s computer lab with access to technology, and are available in-person, hybrid, or virtually depending on community needs.
