CEASE FIRE
A violence prevention strategy aimed at reducing shootings and killings in neighborhoods. Cease Fire is a program that engages high risk young people between the ages of 15-25 who are at risk of shooting or being shot. Cease Fire is a mix of five core components:

(1) Community mobilization: uniting the community to combat violence in their neighborhood through marches, responses and community meetings and bridging community resources
(2) Youth outreach: working with high risk young people ages 13-25 to help them transform their lives
(3) Public education: providing information on Cease Fire services, Corazón Community Services and other community agency services
(4) Faith-based leader involvement: including churches in the violence prevention strategies, public education and community mobilization
(5) Criminal justice participation: working with various law enforcement agencies to work towards creating safer communities

Cease Fire focuses its efforts on gang-involved high-risk individuals between the ages of 13-25. Cease Fire will provide each client with the following:

• Intake and assessment
• Treatment plan
• Weekly case management
• School and/or job placement

The goal is to help clients transform from high-risk behaviors and lifestyles to positive family and community functioning.

Hours of Operation
Monday through Thursday
9:00pm – 6:00pm
Friday, 1:00pm – 10:00pm
Cease Fire hours change according to need in the community and may include Saturday hours as well.

CHANGE FOR THE FUTURE
This life skills program is for youth referred by schools, courts and parents to provide “real world” education on the dangers of street life and crime. This is an 8-weel program that meets two days per week for two hours each day.
